The project /

Presentation

Euronet 50/50 seeks to engage as many education centres as possible on a common goal to reduce energy consumption and increase knowledge and awareness on this field. This can lead to relevant decreases of CO2 emissions contributing to the EU objective: 20% less greenhouse gases by 2020.

Some envisaged results of the project are as follows:

  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiency in educational centres
  • Define a common 50/50 methodology and educational materials
  • Create a 50/50 network of educational centres
  • Increase pupils’ knowledge and awareness about energy at school
  • Involve the educational community and change energy consumption habits
  • Promote co-responsibility: council - pupils and teachers
