Project implementation /

Evaluation and continuity

The evaluation of the project activities and particularly of the first and second year implementation of the 50/50 concept in the schools is very important to test the methodology as well as to know the impacts, successes and problems encountered and the degree of participation or involvement of stakeholders. To facilitate the assessment of these aspects different indicators are used:

  • Management indicators: evaluating the degree of application of the project and the sustainability of the pedagogical materials (e-pack)
  • Indicators of the results: quantitatively evaluating the application of the project and the pedagogical material
  • Indicators of participation: evaluating the degree of involvement of the different actors

The aim is to have evaluation reports that help to replicate and improve the implementation of 50/50 methodology in education centres.

The pupils involved in the project as well as the entire education communities have a key role on the evaluation phase because they are directly involved in the development of the activities and in the common goal of saving energy at school. They will take part during the evaluation process and particularly at the end of the second implementation year when they will meet in a 50/50 closing and dissemination event for education centres that will take place in every partner country. The objectives of this event are to share experiences between education centres, disseminate the 50/50 activities and show the most successful actions. This knowledge exchange and dissemination activity can motivate schools to continue working on 50/50 after the project and engage other schools to start implementing 50/50 idea.
